The gilt 25mm button displays the crest of the Bingham family and probably dates from the time of the John George Barry Bingham, 4th Baron Clanmorris of Newbrook [born 1852]. The button, with backmark FIRMIN LONDON , shows the crest of an eagle rising on a rock and there is some evidence of polishing to some of the high points of the design. The family is related to the Earls of Lucan. feb14/3
