An unusual and early work on the question of steam links between Britain and India.  oct13/2

Captain Richard Melville Grindley [1786-1877] aserved in the East India Company’s 7th Bombay Native Infantry 1804-20. He was a pioneer of the movement to improve commercial links with India. The bank with his family name still thrives in India.
