The East India Register and Directory, for 1807; corrected to the 15th December 1806. Containing complete Lists of the Company’s Servants, Civil, Military, and Marine…Lists of Europeans, Mariners, &c… Merchant Vessels…Compiled by permission of the Honorable the east India Company, from the official returns received at the East India House: by John Mathison & Alexander way Mason, of the Secretary’s Office, East India House.   Black, Parry and Kingsbury [London] 1807 small 8vo.

 Half title not bound in [often the case],pp iii to xxxviii,  folding tables of East India shipping for the seasons 1804-5. 1805-6, & 1806-7, 402pp, including Casualties Bengal 4pp, Madras 4pp, Bombay 5pp. At the time of printing Sir George Hilaro Barlow, Bart., K.B. was Governor General and General Lord Lake was Commander-in-chief.  Late 20th century red half leather gilt, quite a clean copy, the titles of two of the three shipping lists have suffered a partial loss along the title for over trimming. The folding lists are curled at the extreme margins and a few corners of pages have been turned. This year lists the officers of the three regiments of Royal East India Volunteers, the London troops raised in the Napoleonic Wars period to protect the Company’s docks, warehouses and ships. jun28/1
