East York Militia officer’s silver plated 25mm button

A 25mm silver plated, officer’s tunic button of the East York Militia with design of the title EAST YORK beneath the rose and crown, It has the backmark JENNENS & Co. LONDON. This patern of button was worn frmo 1853 to 1881. Another button from my old private collection put together in the 1970s so the button has very dark toning as I do not clean buttons. sep1/2
