A good example of the officer’s tunic button of 25mm in silver plate of the East York Militia worn until 1881 when it became the 3rd Bn, The East Yorkshire Regiment. This age toned button has the backmark JENNENS & Co. LONDON. Ripley & Darmanin (2010) illus. 273. jul15/3

Provenance: From my personal collection which has been moth balled for 40 plus years. I tend not to clean buttons.
