An excellent example of the officer’s 18mm silver plated button, presumably the largest worn on the coatee. The design, the title EASTERN DORSET below the initials L M all beneath a Georgian crown, has just a very little of the underlying copper bleeding through the silver plating on the high points of the design. The backmark is FIRMIN & SONS LONDON. may2/2
