Fur side cap, probably late 19th century

£45.00

A white, sheepskin [?] side cap of the style worn by British officers campaigning in Canada. It has a red lining and I am not sure how to describe the condition  because I’ve never handled a similar one. It is not falling apart but neither is it finely groomed. This came to us with some other items including photographs of an officer in a fur coat wearing such a cap. aug27/1
