A fine example of the gilt button worn by Viceregal Staff [aides de camp &c.] during the reign of Edward VII. This is the 22mm size tunic button which has the cypher applied in high relief and it retains almost full gilt. The back stamp of the maker is PITT & Co. 31 MADDOX ST. LONDON. mar6/1

This pattern of button was also worn by Officers at Arms  and the staff of Governors General.
