A 7 x 4 ins vintage photograph by Dias Studio, Gwalior showing the Maharaja Scindia of Gwalior inspecting a guard of honour with his visiting friend, H. H. Rajaram III Chhatrapati who ruled Kolhapur from 1922 to 1940. The photograph dates from aroound 1939-40 and the infantry guard are wearing service dress rather than the more usual full dress uniform seen in peacetime. mar28/2
