A rather faded carte de visite [with a small area of loss to card top left] byMaull & Co, London showing H.R.H. Prince Arthur Duke of Connaught three quarter length in the uniform of the Rifle Brigade. He was to spend much of his military career in India and was to make several visits later in his long career of royal duties, most notably when he attended the 1903 Delhi Durbar, which his brother King Edward VII was prevented from doing through illness. nov29/5
