H R H the Prince of Wales as Colonel in Chief of the Royal Scots Fusiliers

£115.00

A particularly attractive photograph probably dating from shortly after the Prince became the first Colonel in Chief of the Royal Scots Fusiliers. He is shown in service dress uniform in step with the lieutenant colonel commanding the 1st Bn RSF at Bardon Camp, Aldershot. The photograph, 8½ x 6½ ins,  is pasted to part of an old album leaf. The Prince [later King Edward VIII], always a man with a keen dress sense, wears tartan jodhpurs of regimental pattern. It is possibly a press photograph but we are not sure of the photographer.
