The Prince of Wales. H. R. H. The Princess Mary, only daughter of King-Emperor Geprge V and Queen-Empress Mary married The Viscount Lascelles, D.S.O. at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday, 28th February 1922. There is a small green mark on the mount just below the credit. The overall size of the card is 17½ x 12 ins.    jul9/1

Henry George Charles Lascelles [1882 – 1947] was Viscount Lascelles at the time of his marriage and a major in the Grenadier Guards, whose uniform he wears in the photograph with the badge of the Order of the Garter which the King had given him the day before the wedding. He was to succeed his faher as the 6th Earl of Harewood in 1929.

H. R. H. The Princess Mary [1887 =1965] was the only daughter of King George V and Queen Mary, later known as H. R. H. The Princess Royal, Countess of Harewood and was the sister of King Edward VIII and King George VI and aunt to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
