Jubbulpore, 1930. An at home for Indian officers of an Indian Regiment

Jubbulpore , Central India. An 11¼ x 7¼ group photograph titled on the old card margin At Home to I.O.s Xmas 1930 STC(I) JUBBULPORE. This probably represents the officers of the Signal Training Centre at the Divisional Headquarters in Jubbulpore although we are not certain. All the senior British officers on the front row wear the same tie and they are named but not with initials. The named British officers are: Colonels Copeland and Barker, Majors Roberts, Reynolds, Pocock, & Hill.   Unusually the senior IOs are also named as: Subadars Jewan Singh. Tej Singh, Badrao Sawant, & Nawain Swamy.  The verso has another group portrait with one Indian officer in service dress, presumably the orderly officer of the day, The first photograph has one British officer  similarly dressed.  sep13/1
