King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regt. Volunteer officer’s 25mm

A good Victorian example of A Volunteer officer’s 25mm button of The King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regt. as worn from 1881 to 1901, The button has the backmark PITT & Co. 50 ST MARTINS LANE LONDON. The button varies from those worn in the regular battalions by being silver plated  rather gilt. There is a little bleeding through the silver plating on the high points of the design.    jul14.4
