Late 20th century buckram with red leather title label gilt reading NOTES ON THE MARHATTA WAR 18O3, generally a very clean copy for its age, contemporary ink signature to verso of half title J. McGrigor [initial not certain], small tear to inner edge of title page which also has very old blind stamp ROYAL UNITED SERVICES INSTITUTE LIBRARY, some evidence of other writing having been carefully erased. a little light foxing, mainly to the early pages, in a few places. The folding battle plates are : Camp at Secundra August 26, Assye September23, Delhi, Lasswary November 1, Camp before Allyghur, Entry of troops to the Fort of Allyghur. may18/1 SOLD 5th June 2025

Over a decade ago we had an earlier version of this which was printed for Wellesley to be sent to a very few distinguished recipients in England, It was signed and presented to a high ranking member of Government. It did not include any of the plans whci were added for the commercial publication.
