A 100 x 1490mm mid Victorian studio portrait showing a smartly dressed hunter, seated, holding his percussion cap shotgun. His dogs drowse beside him and a bird he has shot lies at his feet. An almost theatrically staged image. The portrait is tipped to part of an old paper album leaf. The old album was of Scottish origin.  sep4/6
