A cabint card portrait of an Imperial Yeomanry trooper full length seated by W. M. Stuart, Cupar, Fife without any other information than the poignant contemporary comment on the verso died June 23rd 1902 aged 23 years. The date comes just after the end of the 2nd Boer War leading to speculation about the trooper’s death. jan14/1
