Sikh side cap with steel chakram badge

Sikh side or field cap of bright green cloth with red facing detail to the front. The quality of cloth and the manufacture suggest this is an officer’s. The plain steel badge in the form of a chakram is 37mm in diameter and the buttons are of the same pattern. The lining is in excellent clean condition although there is no maker’s mark. This probably dates from the 1930s or WW2 period. There is one small insect hole – shown in one of our illustrations dec27/1
