The Princess Royal, Countess of Harewood. A small pendant with her Royal monogram

A small, delicate pendant of silver colour, approxmatelly 17mm diameter, comprising a shield within a roped border. On one side it is finely engraved with the monogram beneath a coronet and the other side has a raised fleur de lys against a black ground. Although the coronet is not precisely correct heraldically we feel the very distinctive rendering of the means this is almost certainly connected with H.R.H. The Princess Royal, Countess of Harewood. The badge is very similar to that of the Boy Scout Movement. In view of H.R.H.’s long association with the Girl Guides Movement it is quite possible this pendant has some connection. One of our photographs shows a momogram from a signed christmas card from the Princess [not yet listed].  jul19/4
