Around 100 unnumbered pages with numerous monochrome illustratons and several coloured plates. The card covers are a little worn at the edges and txhe upper one is detached with the spine from the block to whch is was glued, bottom inch of spine lacking, The text block is sound and in very clean condition. This copy is numbered 104 of an edition of 200. The  writers contributing to this avant garde work are: G. Bataille, E. De Rouvre, G. Hugnet, R. Desnos, M. Béalu, P. Mabille, H. Michaux, A. Savino, A Frédérique, A. Chastenet, M. Huard, J. P. Dieterlin, R. Brielle, W. Blake, J. Arp, & M. Butor. The illustrations are by: O. Dominguez, Max Ernst, Brielle, Labisse, Schneider, Vulliamy, Coutaud, Lambert-Ruki, Jean Cocteau, Valentine Hugo, Le Louanne, Fourneau, Picasso, Delvaux, G. Hugnet, S. Dali, Fernandedz, G. de Chirico, Y. Tanguy, F. Delanglade, Crotti, & P. Roy. I find it very interesting that such a lavishly produced work could appear at the end of World War 2 when Europe faced a period of austerity. oct9/2
