Gen. Sir Henry Evelyn Wood, V.C., K.C.B. [b. 1833] A waist length photograph, 117 x 90 mm. tipped to an old page from a volume of the Army & Navy Magazine of 1883. Wood had served in the Navy, with the Naval Brigade in the Crimea. He joined the 13th Light Dragoons in 1855 but was serving in the 17th Lancers when he won his Victoria Cross during the Indian Mutiny. oct30/3
