World War One. Two Royal Artillery subalterns photographed in Leicester

A 10 x 8 ins double portrait peinted on photographer;s card signed lower right ?? Williams, Leicester.. The two second lieutenants are shown three quarter length wearing service dress with riding breeches, Their rank badges on the sleeve and lack of any medal ribbons suggest this was taken just before or at the very beginning of WW1. There is a very small area of surface damage lower left but well away from the figures. The deliberately faded w=edges to the figures was a technoque favoured by society photographers of the time.   aug26/1
