Yorkshire Dragoons. officer’s 25mm silver plated button, late Victorian.

The  25mm silver plated officer’s button has the backmark JOHN JONES & Co.6 REGENT ST. LONDON and was worn only from 1887 to 1897. It has the design of the rose within a garter with the Victorian crown above and the title YORKSHIRE DRAGOONS YC  below. Ripley 246. notes that the button appears in both gilt and silver. This example is heavily age toned but looks as though it would clean up well. mar29/1
