Yorkshire Dragoons (The Queen’s Own) 24mm tooper’s white metal button,

The  24mm trooper’s button has the backmark W. DOWLER & SONS, BIRMM,   It has the design of the rose within a garter with the Victorian crown above and the title YORKSHIRE DRAGOONS YC  on the garter. A scroll below shows its new 1897 additional title THe QUEEN’S OWN.  Ripley 245. The this pattern would presumably only have been worn for about five years until the crown changed with the accession of Edward VII. mar29/2.

This is another button from a personal collection which I put together largely in the 1970s and has not been cleaned.
