Yorkshire Dragoons. officer’s 24mm button, late Victorian

The  24mm officer’s button has the backmark JOHN JONES & Co. 6 REGENT ST. LONDON.  It has the design of the rose within a garter with the Victoiran crown above and gthe title YORKSHIRE DRAGOONS YC  below. Ripley 246. Presumably it orignially had a gilt finish but how much of that would appear if cleaned is speculative. mar27/6.

This is another button from a personal collection which I put together largely in the 1970s and has not been cleaned.
