The 24mm officer’s button has the backmark ***JOHN JONES & Co.* 6 REGENT ST. LONDON. It has the design of the rose within a garter with the Victoiran crown above and gthe title *YORKSHIRE DRAGOONS YC*** below. Ripley 246. Presumably it orignially had a gilt finish but how much of that would appear if cleaned is speculative. mar27/6.

This is another button from a personal collection which I put together largely in the 1970s and has not been cleaned.
