106th (Bombay Light Infantry), officer’s gilt 19mm, 1862-1881

£24.00

An example an officer’s 19mm gilt button of the 106th (Bombay Light Infantry)  The button has the backmark JENNENS & Co. LONDON. The scarce button retains virtually all the original gilt finish and has a long shank, suggesting it was used on the epaulette of the scarlet dress tunic. This pattern was worn from 1862 until 1881 when it became a battalion of the Durham Light Infantry. may11/1
