17th Bengal Lancers, Edwardian officer’s pouch as worn 1900-1903
£450.00
The officer’s pouch of the 17th Bengal Lancers has a silver plated cover [often described as silver but dress regulations call for silver plate] with decorative border and gilt monogram BL beneath a Tudor crown further mounted with silver Roman numerals XVII beneath a moon and star. It has the original metal fixings on the light brown leather covered box with part red leather covered interior. I almost always sell things as I acquire them and this would look stunning if carefully cleaned. Thea small leather strap which originally held the pouch in place has disintegrsted. jul18/1
