1905-1906 Royal Tour of India. Small silver medal awarded to ships’ crews
POA
This small oval medal, measuring 25 x 20mm, was given to members of the crews of the vessels taking the Royal party to and from India. The obverse shows the Prince of Wales’s crest within the Garter and and the chain and badge of the Most Exalted Order of the Star of India [as worn by Knights Grand Commander] flanked by the initials G and M for George and Mary. The reverse bears the words INDIA 1905-6 and the names of the Princess & Princess. SOLD 6th December 2021
