A very good clean field cap of the 1st / 11th Sikh Regiment (King George’s Own) (Ferozepore Sikhs) being of dark blue cloth with a bright yellow top, the cloth backed badge of silver wire is in the form of the Prince of Wales’s crest above a throwing quoit.Two blackened metal quoits act as dummy bottons to the front. Before 1922 the unit was known as the 14th Ferozepore Sikhs. The regiment was formed from Jat Sikhs. The cap is in particularly good, clean condition, including the grey lining, although the manufacturer’s label is now indistinct. jun2/1
