1st West Yorkshire Yeomanry, small, white metal 16mm tooper’s button

The example of a trooper’s small 16mm button in white metal has no backmark. Ripley: Yeomanry Buttons 1830-2000 [2005] shows this button [273], dating it ot before 1889 when the regiment became the Yorkshire Dragoons. The design shows lettering 1 WEST YORKSHIRE YEOMANRY on circlet around a Yorkshire rose with a Victorin crown above. mar27/3

This is another button from a personal collection which I put together largely in the 1970s and has not been cleaned.
