27th (Inniskilling) Regiment of Foot in India.. A group of officers photographed in 1864

27th (Inniskilling) Regt. of Foot. The 5¾ x 4¼ ins group portrait is tipped to a sheet of paper from an old scrap book, titled in ink Officers 27th Regt. Dinapur 1864. Although faded anda little rinked towards the lower left side a number of the other officers wear uniform, some with caps with the regiment’s number beneath the castle. A smaller image on the page shows Lt & Mrs Attwood & Lt Coffey, both of whom are listed in the page from our copy of the 1863 edition  of Hart’s Armt List. The regiment had been in India since before the Muitny. may26/1
