28th Foot, North Gloucestershire Regiment, officer’s 25mm.

A 25mm sized numbered button of the 28th Foot, North Gloucestershire Regiment.  Although the  tunic button is an officer’s it has lost most of the gilt finish and reveals a coppery look, although not much polished or rubbed. The backmark is  OAKSHETTE &Co. 15 MILL ST. CONDUIT ST. LONDON.  This is the pattern worn from 1855 to 1881, when mar9/2  SOLD 30th June 2026
