A good ORs button of the 2nd Queen’s Royal Regt. of Foot 25mm with the backmark E. W.s.. PATENT. Unusually for an ORs button this example has a gilt finish, a good deal of which still remains. This pattern was worn from 1855 until 1881 when the regiment became the 1st & 2nd Bns. The Queen’s Royal Regiment. may21/1 SOLD 2nd May 2025
