£550.00
The small pouch measures approximately 120 x 82 x 30 mm and has silver plated mounts. The handsome badge measures 65 x 57 mm and has the regimental title III SIKH INFANTRY beneath a Tudor or king’s crown dating it to the very first year or so of King Edward VII’s reign as the regiment’s title changed in the 1903 re-organisation to 53rd Sikhs (Frontier Force). The scroll at the bottom of the badge reads PUNJAB FRONTIER FORCE and the badge displays the battle honours KABUL, KANDAHAR, AFGHANISTAN 1879-80. An attractive piece from a Sikh Regiment in notably good condition. may8/2
