3rd West York (Light Infantry) Militia officer’s white metal 23mm tunic button post 1855

A 23mm white metal tunic button of the 3rd (Light Infantry) West York Militia with design of the rose within the light infantry strung bugle with crown above. It has the backmark C. R & Co. EXTRA RICH.  The button is illustrated in Ripley & Darmanin: English Infantry Militia Buttons 1757-1881 [293] where it is noted that the button was also worn by the 4th Royal Lancashire Militia. Another button from my old private collection put together in the 1970s.  oct11/3
