An excellent example of an officer’s 25mm gilt button of the 46th (South Devonshire) Regt. of Foot with the rather unusual backmark C REEVES 8 AIRE ST, LONDON . The button retains the full original gilt finish. The regiment vore this title from 1855 to 1881 when it formed the 2nd Bn. The Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry , the 32nd Foot forming the 1st Bn. Jan31/3 SOLD 1Oth July 2025
