63rd Foot, West Suffolk Regiment. An OR’s 25mm brass button worn on the tunic from 1855 until the 1881 reforms when the regiment became 1st Battalion the Manchester Regiment. The Irish made button has the backmark P, TAIT & Co. LIMERICK and is not so much rubbed as many soldier’s buttons. jun17/2
