82nd Regiment of Foot. A relic 23mm button

The 23mm button of the 82nd Prince of Wales’s Volunteers, South Lsncashire Regt in relic condition. This is not a recent metal detected find but has had a nail struck through the centre, probably to fasten it to one of those old leather belts on which old soldiers used to fasten souvenirs of their service. This example differs from the standard 1855-81 button both in size and the lined background and probably dates from before the Crimean War. The price includes UK postage. feb19/3
