An example of the officer’s gilt button of the 95th Foot ( Derbyshire) as worn from 1855 until 1881 when the regiment became the 2nd Bn. The Sherwood Foresters. The 25mm button has the backmark J. W. REYNOLDS & Co. 50 St. MARTINS LANE LONDON. There is loss of original gilt finish to some of the higher relief areas of the button but it is not very much rubbed. jul9/1
