A Scottish volunteer officer depicted on an1860s cdv

The unidentified officer is shown full length with his sword and there is some rather unsuccessful contemporary attempt at adding colour to his face and sash. The verso has some pencil attempts at identification by a previous owner, the late Stan Paget of Dundee. These suggest possibly the 3rd Ayr R.V. or 3rd W.S. Cy. 1st City Ed. R.V.C [the latter presumably formed of Scottish lawyers of the Edinburgh Writers to the Signet. A mystery remaining to be fully solved. jul26/6
