Baxter needle case prints, a group of four of Royal and Scottish interest

£85.00

The attractive and decorative little group of four needle case prints date from around 1850. each print in its frame measures approximately 4¾ 3½ ins and the frasmes are probably contemporary. They show Prince Albert in uniform doffing his plumed hat to well wishers, Queen Victoria and her consort riding in Scotland, a view of Balmoral Castle, and the Royal Yacht Victoria and Albert. Prince Albert bought Balmoral for the Queen in 1852 but they had leased it for some years before that.    dec27/3
