Cheshire Regiment. Sergeants’ Mess, 52nd Bn. in 1918. All named.
£22.00
A good, clear 8 x 6 ins. group portrait of the Members of the Sergeants’ Mess, 52nd (Grad.) Battalion Cheshire Regiment, 1918. Mounted on photographer’s card of M. P Finnerty, Newbridge, the group is rather unusual in having every member identified. The cenrtrl four seated figures are Lt. & Adj. D. J. Leighton-Thomas, Lt. Col. C.H. Young, Capt. & Q.M. A. L. Acraman, and R.S.M. C.H. Marriage. The high number of the battalion shows the pressure that was put on regiments during WWI. sep18/1
