Decorative suspension bar for two medals, white metal.

The mid to late Victorian suspension bar is clearly made from two separate bars and dates from the period before medal wearing was very standardised. The bar measures 80 x 7 mm and is ideal for a perfectioist who wants to display a couple of 19th century medals on a contemporary uniform. One of my illustrations shows how a suitable medal might look using this item. When I have time I will try to find a photograph of a similar bar in use. The medal is not for sale. mar12/1
