A stereoscopic card by Underwood and Underwood, New York, London, &c. showing the richly caparisoned elephants with their towering howdahs approaching the Durbar ground. Its is titled The fabulous wealth of India – native Princes in the grand State Entry, Durbar. The photograph well captures the excited scenes of 1st January 1903, especially when viewed in three dimension through a stereoscopic viwer. jun9/1 SOLD 10th June 2020.
