A very good 9¾ x 5¾ ins vintage photograph by Dias Studio, Gwalior showing the three huge state elephants which were used in the marriage ceremonies of H. H. Maharaja Scindia of Gwalior with a princess from Nepal in early 1941. The elephants have particulalry long gold and silver embroidered cloths which hang nearly to the ground and are wearing gem set necklaces. mar28/3
