A lithographic bust length portrait of the step daughter of Emperor Napoleon I, Hortense de Beauharnais [1783 – 1837 ] whom Napoleon married to his brother Louis Napoleon who was King of Holland. The bust length portrait of the Queen Consort , marked Lith de Delpech, is on paper measuring 10¾ x 8½ ins and mounted on old card. Although undated, a contemporary slip of paper attached notes the date of this royal gift: Donné par la Reine Hortense à Mlle.Mamer le 4. 8bre 1836. oct19/4
