A late Victorian carte de visite by W. & D. DOWNEY, 9 Eldon Square, Newcastle on Tyne identified in pencil on the verso as the Prince of Wales’s Household. An unusual cdv showing a group of staff, mainly women, with one liveried figure in the centre. The back of the card is rather soiled and there is a small area of surface loss affecting the last two letters of DOWNEY. mar8/4
