Indian Army, officer’s unattached list, 26mm Edward VII
£6.00
A good example of the button as worn 1901 to 1910 during the short reign of the first King Emperor. It has the backmark PITT & Co. 31 MADDOX ST, LONDON. A very clean button but the shank has been bent, although it still does its job. This pattern was also worn by retired officers in uniform [see an example of a complete scarlet tunic in the Miscellaneous category on the website]. may19/3
