Infantry officer’s epaulettes from a scarlet tunic. A pair with lieutenant’s Bath stars
£90.00
A pair of officer’s gilt epaulettes with two Bath stars on each. This pattern was worn by almost all infantry officers of infantry regiments in both the British and Indian Armies with the scarlet dress tunic in service from 1880 until the full dress went out of general use after WWI. They are the most commonly missing parts of tunics – possibly because they were ideally stored separately from the jacket when not in frequen use. The stars on the epaulettes differ between left and right but we have left them as they came to us. jun1/5
